This article takes the adoption of a California Digital Eraser law (involving the protection of the personal data of minors) as an opportunity to discuss the Digital Right to Be Forgotten in the context of the negotiation of the proposed European General Data Protection Regulation. The effectiveness of the protection is analyzed.
